Are you looking for talented and diverse students to work for your company who have training and expertise in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, Building Science, Civil Engineering, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture?

If you will be hiring for full-time or internships for the 2023-2024 year, register now to attend this InterCollegiate Career Fair and meet over 200 students from the upper Midwest Schools of Construction Management and these allied programs.

Event Details

The University of Minnesota Construction and Facility Management program, the University of Minnesota Construction Management Student Association and Career & Internship Services are proud to host this eleventh annual intercollegiate event on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 10:00am - 2:00pm (CST).

In partnership with Construct*ium, the Career Fair and Quiz Bowl is an event organized to attract students from the upper Midwest region schools of Construction Management including Minnesota State University Mankato, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Dunwoody Institute of Technology, University of Wisconsin Stout, Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa, South Dakota State University, North Dakota State University, St. Cloud State University, University of Wisconsin Platteville, and, of course, the University of Minnesota. Please note that a portion of your registration fees goes to support the Student Groups from the participating schools.

The traditional career fair portion is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You can expect to meet students from these participating schools in the areas of: Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture.

The Fair will be held concurrently with the annual Intercollegiate Quiz Bowl where student teams from these schools compete for the J.E. Dunn Traveling Trophy (sponsored by Minnesota Construction Association). Past winners include the University of Wisconsin-Stout and the University of Minnesota. Industry partners will be recruited to "judge" the quiz bowl event and we welcome your participation.

9-10am Check-in, Set-up
10am-2pm Career Fair (concurrent with preliminary Quiz Bowl rounds)
11:30am-1:30pm Lunch for Employers, Faculty & Advisors
2-2:30pm Career Fair closes, take down displays
2-3pm Quiz Bowl Championship Round and Trophy Award

Early Bird Registration Fees: (Ends August 31, 2023; add $50 for registration after August 31)

  • Private Industry: $475/table
  • Government: $275/table
  • Nonprofit/Association: $175/table

The registration fee includes: a 6-foot x 30" rectangular table with two chairs, parking, and lunch for up to two representatives. If you plan to send more than two representatives the cost is $50 for each additional person. We recommend you purchase additional tables if you are bringing three or more representatives to avoid excessive congestion.

Employers are asked to bring their own tablecloth or skirting, and table signage. Floor signage may be used if it is not oversized and will not impact traffic flow.

Silver Level: $1,500
Includes registration fee (8-foot table) and Silver Level Sponsorship. Booth located in sponsorship aisle of the Career Fair, company logo in the Employer Profile book, Company logo on Handshake, posters & reminder emails to students, Instagram post.

Confirmation

After your registration is approved, you will receive an email confirmation with an invoice and information about the career fair schedule, directions and parking. Your registration is not confirmed until payment has been received.
