Life Story

I grew up in Waverly, IA and then moved to MN to attend St. Olaf College. After I earned my BA in Sociology/Anthropology I served for AmeriCorps at College Possible. There, I developed my love for supporting students by working with high school students as their college access coach. Once that experience ended, I worked at One Stop here at the U of MN- Twin Cities and started my Master’s Program through CEHD, Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology.

Funny Story

During my study abroad experience in Tanzania, I hand washed all of my laundry. One afternoon at my homestay, the young girls in the family watched me try and wash my clothes and fell off their chairs laughing at me.
