Life Story

I’ve had lots of jobs, starting when I was 15 and worked in retail. I taught high school Spanish, became a high school administrator, and I coached more than 15 high schools that are all internship based. I’ve written a book and contributed to more than five books, and I’m writing a book now on how to become an endurance athlete. I ran a company that trained people with diabetes to be endurance athletes. I’m also an inspirational speaker on health and wellness. I don’t have children and I’m not married, although I have faith that one day I will find my true love!

Personal Success story

Completing a Half Ironman in less than 7.5 hours and smiling as I crossed the finish line!

Student Success Story

A student had an internship at a real estate agency and he learned so much about first time home ownership that he created a course for members of his low income community to learn about how to become a first time home owner. More than 10 families ended up becoming home owners as a result of his course!
